Crowdstrike, a renowned software company providing contract management software to enterprise businesses, sought to create an avant-garde office space that aligned with their visionary culture. As a purpose-built remote-first company, the challenge was to design a workplace that embodied their principles of autonomy, flexibility, and trust, fostering a diverse, inclusive, and supportive work environment.

The space needed to provide the choice and autonomy that Crowdstrike employees valued while promoting an environment where innovation could flourish, ultimately achieving the goal of becoming a high-performing organisation.

To meet the challenge and create a workspace that reflected Crowdstrike's vision and culture, we leveraged activity-based concepts to drive open work zones. Rather than traditional large, undefined spaces, the office was divided into multi-use 'zones' based on their functions, each marked out by different flooring patterns, ceiling designs, and wall designs. The multi-use areas allowed for flexibility, enabling them to be opened up or sectioned off as needed to accommodate the activity-based working style of Crowdstrike's diverse workforce.

To prioritise employee well-being and foster a creative atmosphere, the design incorporated wellness and relaxation into the workspace. The recreation area was thoughtfully designed with an airy and well-lit ambiance, featuring cosy sofas and chairs, wide-screen televisions for gathering to enjoy matches and live events, and a coffee zone equipped with state-of-the-art café apparatus. The aim was to create a hygge-like atmosphere where employees could relax and recharge, contributing to a more productive and inspiring work environment.

In addition to the recreation area, various nooks and cosy corners were strategically placed throughout the work areas. These inviting spaces, furnished with plush sofas, low stools, colorful cushions, and soothing artwork, provided employees with options for taking breaks from their desks while remaining focused and engaged. The placement of these spaces near wall-to-wall windows offered opportunities for employees to find moments of serenity and concentration, supported by a cup of coffee and a mellow playlist.

To add a cheerful, lived-in look to the sleek spaces, the design incorporated aged textures. Earthy touches like wood beams and exposed ducts on the ceiling added character to each room. A unique twisted rope partition sectioned off one of the meeting areas, imparting rustic charm to the space. Distressed wood and jute accents were incorporated into chairs and glass-topped tables, sourced from local artisans to infuse a traditional flavor into the modern office environment.

To create visual interest, patterns and geometric shapes were integrated into the interior design. Relaxation zones featured patterns on the wall and counters, extending horizontally over the floor to create a chic, multi-dimensional depth. Geometrical elements were thoughtfully incorporated throughout the office interiors, adding a touch of creativity and enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal.
